Experienced forward Bridget Galloway joined Aberdeen Women on a permanent transfer following her departure from WSL2 side Nottingham Forest in August 2025. 26-year-old Galloway heads across the border with a strong background in English football, having played senior football for Sunderland, Durham, Newcastle, and most recently Forest. The Gateshead born frontwomen made her first team debut for The Black Cats in 2016, coming on to replace recent Women’s Euros winner Beth Mead in a WSL1 match against Notts County. She would go on to play 51 times for Sunderland and net on 37 occasions. Her first goal in red, black and white was the winner in a WSL Cup match against Liverpool in 2017. A spell at WSL2 Durham followed, where she spent three years in the countries second division before moving to her childhood club, Newcastle United, scoring 17 times to catapult The Magpies to The Northern Premier Division Title. Bridget would soon be on the move again, joining Nottingham Forest in August 2024 on a one-year contract. The striker has also represented England seven times at U19 level.
