Willo Flood & Shay Logan met with the media on Thursday to look ahead to Saturday’s vital SPFL Premiership match at Dens Park
Shay Logan
“All the boys are feeling good. Training has gone well this week. Everyone is feeling positive after the win last Friday and we are all looking forward to Saturday. For me personally I prefer that the game has been changed as I prefer playing during the day on a Saturday.
“I have seen a number of the fans tweeting about being upset that the game has been changed so late which I can fully understand. Hopefully come kick off time the hassles with the kick off time will be forgotten.
“I have played at Dens twice now and on each occasion there has been a really good backing from the fans. The away support we get is a massive help to us and we really appreciate it.
“ I think in the games against Dundee we have maybe been slightly the better team but they have beaten us and got a draw. They have shown that if you switch off for a second in a game of football you can lose a goal. They have exploited this very well and scored some good goals. They scored the last minute goal in the Scottish cup game and scored two goals in quick succession in a five minute spell in the last league game at Pittodrie.
“You cannot switch off because they have players who have the quality to hurt you. There is some real quality in the side.
“Every game between now and the end of the season is massive. Every game is about getting the three points. The sole purpose of going to Dundee on Saturday is to take the three points back up the road with us.
“It’s not about the performance.
“We did not play that well against Motherwell but we won. Credit to them as they did very well and did not look like a team near the bottom of the league but we showed our fighting spirit. We are going to have to show that spirit between now and the end of the season.
“We are not focusing on what other teams are doing. It is all about Aberdeen and focusing on what we are doing. Focussing on what we have to do to get a win on Saturday.

“I am pleased to be back fit and available for Saturday.
“This has probably been the most frustrating season of my career. When I was out with my knee injury at Middlesbrough I knew what was happening and knew I was going to be out for some time. You are able to get your head round that. But with the hamstring injury I have had this season, I thought I was over it, I was back in the team and then I had a little tweak. It was only a little set back but it is so frustrating.
“It would be nice now to get a run of games and be involved and be available for section for the manager.
“I am sure he is sick of me being in the treatment room as much as I am sick of being in there.
“As a player you just want to be out there helping the manager, helping the team and helping the club. Especially at the moment when we have got so many big games. When you are in the treatment room you feel useless. We are very fortunate at Aberdeen because we have such good medical staff. They help you through it. As well as being great physio’s they are also great lads as well.
“The games against Dundee this season have been very tight. They are a big threat going forward. Greg Stewart has scored a lot of goals. In the cup game we played well but came up against a goalkeeper who was outstanding on the day. To be fair Scott Bain has had a very good season and has been one of the top goalkeepers in the league. “
