Aberdeen boss Barry Robson spoke to the media in the Rugby Park press room after his side were beaten 2-0 by Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

“We were really poor today.

“We should come down here and try and win the game, but we were nowhere near our best.

“It was my fault, I should have freshened the team up more. We looked leggy in the first half and it’s hard to change that by making changes once you’ve started that way.

“First half, both teams were struggling, then we got the goal with the last kick of the half, a sucker punch. We changed the shape second half, got fresh bodies on but we were hanging on, hoping to get something from the game.

“If I’d put more fresh legs in from the start, we’d have seen a different performance and maybe a better outcome today.

“Individual errors have cost us goals in the last two games, I’ve made a mistake in not changing the team more, so these things have cost us.

“We go on to a massive week with a big game at Motherwell, and then we go to Hampden and try to get in a cup final.

“We’ll move on.

“We’ve got good players, we’ve had some good performances and we look forward to the next game. We need to get better. Our league form hasn’t been good enough but a win on Wednesday will get us right back in there.”
