The U20s started 2017 with a fine win in Paisley this evening after producing a great comeback. After the match Paul Sheerin spoke to RedTV:

“I am really pleased for the boys off the back of a tough month since our last game.

“We started really well and got our goal, but I was disappointed in the two goals we lost especially after the work we've done over the last nine days but there was understandably a wee drop in confidence.

“I hope this result will help with that confidence.

“I thought we dominated the first 25 minutes of the second half before they had a wee spell but we showed character to come through that. Then David Dangana gets a late winner which was great for the boys.

“Connor McLennan showed great technique for his goal after showing great pace to get on to Dylan's through ball and once he's clear you're confident he'll finish. Seb Ross did well for his goal, he scores a lot for Scott's under 17s and Dylan gives him a bit of licence to get forward. Both he (Seb) and David (Dangana) have shown patience working through the 17s so I was pleased to see them get their rewards tonight.

“Big Harlain gives us a bit of presence at the back and he talks well which is always good.

“He probably played longer than he needed to but he was giving us that little bit extra which with the greatest of respect we have perhaps lacked this season. However, that can only bode well for him going forward with the games we've got coming up so I was really pleased to get him into the team.

“It was definitely a happier dressing room tonight!”
