After the announcement at lunchtime that Barry Robson had won the Glen’s Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month award for the second month in succession, the Dons boss spoke to the media to preview Saturday’s cinch Premiership clash with Hibernian.
“The (man of the month) award was pleasing but you never get carried away in this game. We have been winning some matches and there has been a lot of hard work going on by people throughout the club and the players as well. So it is a prize for them.
“We now move on and the most important thing is going out and performing again this weekend.
“I made my thoughts clear about VAR after the Rangers game. We have all seen the (penalty) incident. It is clear. I don’t want to keep banging on about it, hopefully things will get better.
“First and foremost, I want to win and I am very disappointed when that does not happen. But I thought the team were outstanding last weekend for large parts of the game and we executed our plan well. I was really pleased with performances all over the pitch and I thought the substitutes did really well when they came on. Some of them have been performing to a high level in training.
“I want to try and win. I am quite open about that. I want us to win every game we play, that won’t always happen but we have to believe it and have to set ourselves up to do that.
“Hibs on Saturday will be a real tough game. They are well organised and coached and they try and play. Hopefully they will open up and try and play as they have been doing.
“Ross McCrorie is back on the bike and jogging again so hopefully we will have him back again soon. Everyone else is ok.”
