There were mixed emotions for manager Barry Robson as he summed up the 0-0 draw with Hibernian this afternoon.

“I’m disappointed with the fact that we drew a game at home but I’m proud of the players and what they’ve given us over the last three months. They’ve been outstanding. We’ve kept another clean sheet once again, which is important. In football, you don’t always play well, but right across the team, we dug in, we fought, and that’s what I want to see. We didn’t have a good day, we didn’t play well, but that side of the game got us a point.

“You have to remember we’re up against a good team in Hibs who had to come here and win today. They performed well. On the other hand, we didn’t do that, I understand that, but I’m proud of the character of the boys and when you’re not playing well against a good side, you’ll take a 0-0. I’m confident we’ll perform miles better than that in the games ahead, so I’m happy to take a point and move on.

“The Gothenburg Greats were there today and the one thing they’ll have enjoyed is seeing a team with guts and determination to see out a game when we’re not at our best.

“Kelle was terrific today and we needed that from him. He was at his best and made some important saves for us. I was really pleased with him, and with the team because they stuck together, fought for each other, the crowd helped us. The subs came on, they got their opportunity today and they all did well and gave me something to think about going into the next game, which is what you want them to do.

“At the end of the day, it’s another game closer to the end of the season and the gap between us and everybody below us is the same as when we kicked off. That’s not a bad day in the end.”
