“To start off with team news, we’re all good. All of the players are fit, Jack MacKenzie had a little bit of a problem but he’s back fit and available now. We’re all good to go now, we have a fully fit squad.

“It will be a difficult game I think Dundee have done really well this season with Tony Docherty. Obviously they are a newly promoted team but the results have been been good. We’re looking forward to a really tough game tomorrow.

“Dundee have improved the playing squad as well. I don’t know Tony Docherty that well, but Barry speaks really highly of him as a person and as a coach. They’ve done really well. As I keep repeating, it will be a tough game for us.

“Momentum is a key word. I think when you get the momentum and you get a feel off of the players. We are looking forward to the game for  obvious reasons. It’s going to be a really good game with a big crowd, but also to continue with that momentum. They’ve trained well this morning and everybody’s in good spirits.

“That’s the same with any club when you get momentum and you get good results, whether it’s in league or in cup competitions. This group of players, they’re as good as I’ve worked with in terms of the spirit that they’ve got within the group, whether they’re playing, whether they’re on the bench, even if they’re not in the squad, there is a real togetherness with them, they are a pleasure to work with everyday.

“We’ve got a real flexibility to play any system, whether it’s a back four, a back three. Everybody mentions a back five, well actually it’s a back three at times. We feel we’ve got the flexibility within the group to play any system and without going into too much detail about tactics,  there’s a lot of thought that goes into the opposition, how we can hurt the opposition? What do we need to do to stop the opposition? In games you do need to change but I think that’s a credit to the manager and the coaching staff to do the work where we are flexible. The flexibility within the squad of players we’ve got will hopefully give us the results that we want over this Christmas period.

“I came up here to give Barry a hand for a couple of games and then obviously it went well. I’ve really enjoyed my time here. Aberdeen is a massive football club in Scotland. It’s a great club, fantastic fan base. The Scottish Premiership has got some excellent coaches, some well drilled teams and some good players. I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s genuine. All of the players are hard working, they are fully committed and I think it has a passion with it. Every supporter wants their team to do well and they’re fully committed towards supporting the team and getting behind them to get the result that they want. I’ve really enjoyed my time in Scottish football and we want now to take that forward to tomorrow’s game and then hopefully for the Christmas period and beyond.”
