On RedTV now there is a Scottish Cup Semi Final RedInsider special. Included in the magazine programme is an exclusive interview with Aberdeen Assistant Manager Tony Docherty.

“We’re looking forward to it and we’ve prepared properly,”

“They’re a good side and the fact they made the top six yet again is great credit to the previous managers as well as to Tommy Wright, Callum Davidson and Alec Cleland and an excellent group of players.

“There’s still a nucleus there of the players we worked with when we were there and I can understand why they’re doing so well. We’ll definitely need to be at our best to beat them, make no mistake.

“The fact we won the previous semi-final will have no bearing on this one and we won’t be dwelling on it, a game is a game in its own right, particularly in a match like this with so much at stake. We must ensure we’re right for the 90 minutes, and if we are right, we’ll give ourselves a chance.

“It would obviously mean a lot to reach another final but we need to remain level headed about and treat each and every game on its merits.”
