There was joy- and much relief- at Hampden Park tonight as Scotland claimed a 3-2 victory over Israel to confirm top spot in their UEFA Nations League group. The result means that the national side have secured a play-off spot for Euro 2020 and have also secured promotion into Group B when the Nations League resumes.
Dons duo Scott McKenna and Graeme Shinnie both played their part in the match. Scott started the game and was involved in the third Scotland goal while Graeme came on at a vital period in the game, just after Israel had scored their second goal of the game to make it 3-2. It would be a nervy end to the match but Scotland held on and both Scott and Graeme made some vital interventions in the closing stages to see the game out.
