“I am gutted. Very disappointed.
“The manner we lost the goals was very disappointing. We felt comfortable up until that point, we were still creating good chances but we don’t get the second goal and then we switch off defensively. It is very disappointing.
“We are now four points behind but we are never going to give up. We are never going to let it go until it actually happens. All we can do is work hard on the training pitch and put it right in the next game at Pittodrie. Over a season there is always ups and downs. As players we have to deal with these ups and downs.
“We have been on a very good run, there is no hiding that, and that is what makes today’s result even harder to take. It also makes it harder to criticise. But we are disappointed with the way we lost the goals. It was unacceptable. We will have to address it and hopefully move on, learn from it, and as I say in the next game against Hamilton we have to put things right.
“I thought we were very good up until the 70th minute and then we have had a couple of minutes of madness. In the second half Kenny has hit a good strike and then Simon has hit the bar. But then we have switched off and paid the price.
“It was not good enough. I have not seen the goals back yet but it is something that we need to address.
“We have to get back to training and get back in amongst each other.
“Everyone is very disappointed. Barry is obviously very disappointed. I felt personally that he has just tried to get his body in the way and he has caught McDonald. There was not any malice in it. They have played together in the past and are quite good friends so he has not tried to do him.
“We will not give up. We have seven games left and have to go on another run.”
