“As a striker scoring a hat trick is a wonderful feeling.
“For the first one Cammy has hit the ball across the face of goal and I have just read it, gambled as well. Thankfully the ball has just landed at my feet and I was able to direct it on target. Cammy and myself work well together and we are building a good partnership. We have a good understanding. We both know each other’s game. Playing together every day in training will just improve it even more.
“The second goal was a great ball in by Clarky. I have gambled again and managed to get on the end of what was a very good cross. Clark has had something like four assists from my goals in the last few games. His delivery is excellent. Any time he gets the ball I know if I hit the front post he will find me.
“The third one I have just beaten the big defender and stuck it away.
“I thought we were very disciplined. They did put some pressure on us but we withstood it very well. We did a very good job pressing them which allowed us to get to grips with the midfield area.
“The game plan is very simple – just go out and play. We all have our jobs to do. We know how we play. We all know each other’s games so well which makes such a difference. We are playing very well at the moment and enjoying being part of a winning team. I am enjoying my football.
“We are not looking ahead and not thinking about winning the Development League yet. We will just take one game at a time and see how it goes. We still have something like nine games to go.
“My target at the start of the season was to score 10 to 15 goals so to reach as many as I have, I am very pleased.
