Shay Logan

…“We can have no complaints about the defeat on Friday night. I think generally they worked harder as a team and there were not enough individual performances from us that were good enough, there were too many mistakes. Collectively as a team, it was a bad performance.

…“The gaffer’s man management is up there with the very best. I have been around a few clubs now, I have had managers who speak to players, I have had other managers who don’t. Our manager is very good at speaking to you individually and telling you when you are doing well or telling you when your standards have dropped and he wants more from you. That is the way it should be.

…“I feel like I am playing well so far but I still think there is a lot more to come from me. I hope the fans are happy with my work ethic. Every fan needs to know that every time I go out there, I give 110% and that will always be the case when I pull on the Aberdeen jersey.

…“Dressing rooms are pretty unique places, they can be very intense, very funny, a lot depends on how results are going, they are always changing from day to day. Here at Pittodrie, we are very lucky because ours is a very good dressing room. Obviously some people get on better than others, that is the same in any work place, but I can honestly say everyone in our dressing room gets on well with each other. We all enjoy each other’s company, there is a very good atmosphere in there.

…“Personally, I speak to anyone and everyone. It is good to have banter in the camp, and there is a lot of good banter! I am quite often the one to start it off! I enjoy when people give it back too, it just shows the spirit we have.

…“It takes a lot of hard work to get a good dressing room together and the manager has put a lot of effort into getting the right kind of characters as well as the right kind of players. It was very different at Manchester City.”

Russell Anderson

…“Motherwell will come here even more determined than usual because by the standards they have set over the last few years, they’ve had a very difficult start to this season and they’ll feel they need to get more points on the board as quickly as possible.

…“For us, as the manager said after last Friday’s game, it is very important that first of all, we stop conceding so many goals because at present, we are in a position where we need to score three and four goals a game to get anything from them, and that’s just asking too much.

Hopefully on Friday, we can start by posting a clean sheet. If we do that, it gives us a platform to go and win the match because in any game, but certainly at Pittodrie, we have the attacking options to score goals against any team this season.

Danny Rogers …“Another step in my development was making my debut for the Ireland U21s recently. I was absolutely delighted to get the call. We played Norway during the international break in a friendly. I got on for the last half an hour and I thought I did quite well and I had one good save at the end. I got some quite positive feedback, so hopefully I will have done enough to get into the next squad.

…”We lost the game 4-1 but the scoreline was 4-0 when I came on so I am saying we won 1-0 whilst I was playing! It was a good experience. It is a new group of players, many of whom have come through from the U19 side. Noel King is the coach. He is very good. He is very positive and encourages you a lot.”
