Barry Robson was encouraged by a strong performance from his Aberdeen side as they wrapped up the pre-season friendlies with a 3-2 win at Charlton Athletic.
“We’re looking sharper all the time, we know how we want to play, so I’m pretty happy with what the players we’ve got on the pitch are giving us at the minute.
“We’ve worked hard, we look at it and there are players still to come into that team and give us a hand as well. We’ve got some young players in there who are doing really well, so that’s encouraging too.
“I brought in Dante Polvara for this one, and he was outstanding. He’s a good footballer. He does the right things at the right time, and he feels like a new signing for us after his time away on loan.
“In saying that, they all performed brilliantly in the first half especially. The fans had the chance to see a team that was fast and aggressive and I’m sure they enjoyed that.
“Second half we gave some time to boys that needed it. Or Dadia came in for the first time, probably wasn’t ready for today, but we gave him some time on the pitch. We’ll bring him up to speed in training over the next three or four weeks.”
