“Any time you lose a goal from a set piece you are disappointed, no matter who you are playing. Before the game we spoke about the quality of the delivery from Celtic. From the corner it is so important the first touch is an Aberdeen one but we did not get tight enough.   “Celtic in the first half hour showed a lot of energy. Commons in particular was problematic for us but we then finished the first half well. At half time we spoke about wanting to do better in the second half yet I had not even taken my seat and we lost the second goal. Commons should not have time to shot from where he received the ball.   “I was disappointed but with the players we have, even at 2-0 I thought we were still in the game.   “Celtic played with confidence for a bit after the second goal but we held on and when we got the goal back we caused them a lot of problems.   “I thought they were there for the taking. I thought they were vulnerable and looked nervous. We had enough of the play to get something from the game.   “So there was a lot to like about us at times this afternoon.   “We should have had a penalty kick. I thought it was a penalty at the time and I have seen it again and still think it is a penalty. The shot is from 10 yards and he has his hands up to stop the ball. Weather the ball was going in or not it did not matter. His hands were in the air and he had time to move them. The referee should see that. It should have been a penalty and if we get that we still have time to go on and win the game.   “The referee did not give me an explanation afterwards.   “We missed Jonny Hayes today. In these types of games you need good ball carriers in the team and Jonny is that type of player. He would have caused them problems today however his wife needed him more than the team today. We tried Peter out there in the early stages but he was more influential in a central position. We brought Jeffrey on and I thought we played a lot better in the last half hour.”   “We are disappointed we came away with nothing but also recognise there things we have to do better. I am disappointed because I expected to get something.”
