Ricky Sbragia, who was confirmed as the new under-21 coach this morning, is excited about bringing the country’s best young players to the North East.

He said: “Pittodrie has been packed out on a number of occasions already this season and it would be great to see a strong support get behind us for our opening home qualifying matches against France and Iceland in October.

“I’m looking forward to the new campaign and we hope to get off to a good start against Northern Ireland next month and set up two big matches at Pittodrie.

“We will bring a squad filled with the best young Scottish talent to Aberdeen and I am sure they will entertain the supporters who come along to cheer us on.”
