Players at every club across the country have had their say and this year’s nominees for Premiership Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year are as follows:

Premiership Player of the Year         Stuart Armstrong Celtic Moussa Dembele Celtic Jonny Hayes Aberdeen Scott Sinclair Celtic

Young Player of the Year Jason Cummings Hibernian Moussa Dembele Celtic Patrick Roberts Celtic Kieran Tierney Celtic

Premiership champions and League Cup winners Celtic have a hat trick of nominations for both categories – with Moussa Dembele in with a chance of a double. Stuart Armstrong is a previous Young Player nominee (2014) from his time at Dundee United.

It is back-to-back Player of the Year nominations for Aberdeen’s Jonny Hayes, off the back of helping the Pittodrie side to this season’s Scottish Cup Final.

Last year’s PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year winner Kieran Tierney will be looking to make it two in-a-row. He is joined on this year’s nominations list by teammates Moussa Dembele and Patrick Roberts.

Hibernian striker Jason Cummings, whose 19 goals helped the Easter Road side clinch the Championship title, also makes a return to the Young Player shortlist having lost out to Tierney last season. He is the only non-Premiership nominee.

The overall winners will be announced on Sunday 7th May at PFA Scotland’s annual Awards Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.
