A big game and dealing with pressure

“Really looking forward to it. It’s a big game. As I said, we’re the holders and we want to retain the title, but it’ll be a tough test. Obviously Dunfermline put out Hibs before, so it’ll be a tough game.

“There’s always pressure at this club. Dunfermline have some exciting young players, experienced players and a good manager in Neil Lennon who’s experienced. It’ll be a tough place to go, but we want to advance and it’s a good opportunity to advance into that Semi-final.”

Dunfermline

“We’ve looked over the squad and watched a lot of their games recently. As I said, they’ve got some exciting young players and a mixture of experience in there. It’ll be a tough test, but we’ve got to apply ourselves with the application and attitude first.”

The travelling support

“It’ll be a great atmosphere. The away fans are exceptional. I think there’s over 4,000 going down and I’ve heard the game’s sold out as well, so it’ll be a great atmosphere, but the most important thing is that we get through to the next round.”

Intensity

“We need to bring that again (intensity). It’s going to be a tough game, but if we can bring that intensity along with the quality then it’s about what we can bring to the game, and show our quality in the match.

Scottish Cup memories

“It means a lot. You walk down the corridor and see all the photos from the last time we won the Scottish Cup. It was a special day and special memories and we want to try and do that again.”

Attitude in the group

“Hopefully (a win can kickstart a run of form). We just need that wee bit of a break. I said after Wednesday it was a good performance but maybe we just need a wee bit of luck going our way as well. It’s another opportunity to get a win, but it’s tough opposition, they’ve beat a Premier League team already and we need to be well prepared.

“The fighting spirit is still there. They gave it everything (against Celtic), I think they do every game. We’re always in games. The results haven’t been great, but hopefully that can turn. The boys are in good spirits and looking forward to the game.

“Game management. We’ve spoken about it, being a little bit more streetwise. But again, if we apply ourselves with the right attitude and application and bring our quality as well, that’s the key thing.”

Team News

“Tom McIntyre is back in the squad, so that’s positive. Jack Milne came off with just cramp.

“Attitude and application is the first thing. We’ve got quality all over the pitch and we can change system, but the principles stay the same. We still want to go and win the game.

“Sivert Nilsen has been brilliant. He trains at maximum every day. He’s a leader on and off the pitch and I thought he did really well sitting in at centre-back on Wednesday night.

“(On Nicky Devlin’s scan) Still nothing back yet. We’re just waiting on that.”
