“We’re delighted first and foremost to get the three boys committing their future to us. I think it’s important to have that stability and all three boys have done well for me and I expect them to do well for us going forward.
“I think it’s great all three boys wanted to stay and have committed themselves. Once we spoke to them there wasn’t a lot of convincing required. Each and every one of them wanted to be here and be part of it. It was very quickly done. I think they feel they want to be part of something special here.
“When it comes to the 90 minutes on Saturday we’ve got a job to do, regardless of what happens Monday to Friday but obviously it’s good news. The support will be delighted all three players have shown a willingness to commit and pledge their future with us. We’re delighted as a club and as a manager I think all three have a big part to play going forward.

“I am delighted. I am delighted with the way things have been going on the park this season and I was delighted when the manager came to me and asked if I would consider staying. It was a great feeling.
“To pledge my future to AFC is a massive thing for me. I am really looking forward to the next two and a half years. Hopefully I will still have a few years left in me after that as well as many keepers are now playing into their late thirties.
“Normally these things drag on a bit and you have to wait to the end of the season which creates a lot of uncertainty but the manager approached the three of us and everything was sorted out in a very short space of time.
“It is a massive weight of my mind and I can now just concentrate on my football.
“We all believe in what the manager and coaching staff are doing here.”

Peter Pawlett |
“I am very pleased. I am really enjoying my football at the moment and it is great I am going to be here for another three years. I have been with the club since I was eight years old. This is the club that I know and I really enjoy being here. I know from speaking to other players how good a club this is. It is a great place to be at the moment and there is a really good atmosphere.
“I feel I have been doing ok this season and hopefully that will continue. I have to stay fit and keep my confidence going and keep putting in performances.
“I always felt within myself that I had the ability, it was just a matter of getting a chance to show it. My confidence was also low but I have started building it up thanks to the Manager and Tony. They take me a side and speak to me and we spend time watching videos of me in action. I really also enjoy the training and I feel fit and I am sharp, that is very important for my game.”

Jonny Hayes |
“As soon as the gaffer spoke to me I was happy to sign. I had not really given it much thought and the meeting with the gaffer came out of the blue. I can now just crack on with my football and not be worrying in three of four months time about whether I would be getting a new contract.
“The manager has come in and has put an emphasis on hard work and all the boys have bought into it. We know it is a long term plan which is still a work in progress.
“I settled in off the park last season but maybe did not put too much emphasis on my own game. Maybe I tried a little bit too hard last season. This season we have Peter, Cammy has done well when he has come in, and there is Greg and Niall so I do not feel that I am on my own. All those players can win games for you. It is a weight of my shoulders to have so many players round about me playing well and that has helped my own game.
With three of us signing new deals and with Mark Reynolds and Ryan Jack on long term deals the manager is building a solid squad.
