“For 80 minutes it felt really good. We had a 10 minute spell where we conceded two set-plays and you are up when you go down 2-1. Apart from a 10 minute spell, where we conceded the two goals, we felt really good and comfortable in the game. We have to learn from it.
“We can’t go down to Kilmarnock and give them two set play goals because you can score five or six every week. It is hard enough to score a couple of goals in this league. We have to learn from the set plays.
“Before that and for the majority of the game it felt like a good performance. It is the best we’ve seen certain players this season. Everyone performing well, at the same time, made for a good performance.
“Down the left hand side, Topi and Mitchel I thought we were really good. Mitch has been involved too much before this. Topi, that was by far his best performance of the season.
“It shows when he is at it like that he can be such a weapon for us and a problem for the other team. Both guys down that side were really, really good. It was good to see Kenan Bilalovic do really well and Topi had his goals at the end. Kevin got two really good finishes, right place and right time.
“They are massive players for us. I don’t think there is too much between the teams in the league and you need your players at the top end, the ones with the quality, you need them to produce as much as you can.
“If Topi can now kick on from this then that is the benchmark we know he can hit. If we can get that most weeks then we know we will be in a good place. Kevin does what he does, he is in the right areas and knows where the crosses are coming in. It is two decent finishes from a combined total of four yards out!
“He is in the right place and that is where we need to get Kevin. We know if we can get him anywhere in the six yard box then we know he is going to finish.
“We did what we needed to do to get through in the cup tie and we wanted to make it a springboard for the rest of the season. If Saturday is anything to go by then it is a good start and step in the right direction. We know how difficult it will be down there (Rugby Park), it always is for us.
“We will be going there full of confidence and looking to win.”
