Moroccan striker Ayoub Mouloua has joined the Dons from FUS Rabat for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance and visa formalities.
The 23-year-old has signed a three-year contract, with a Club option for a fourth, after completing his medical at Cormack Park.
Mouloua becomes Stephen Robinson's eighth permanent recruit of the summer transfer window, and the Dons boss was delighted to secure the signing.
He said: "We have been tracking Ayoub for several months now and have made a number of trips to Morocco to watch him play and get a real feel for the type of player and person he is.
"He's a brave, aggressive striker who will give us a real physical presence in attack, but he's much more than that. He's mobile, works tirelessly for the team and has shown he knows where the goal is. When I got the chance to speak with him, it was clear he was hungry for the opportunity to join Aberdeen and take the next step in his career.
"He's still only 23 and we believe there is significant room for growth in his game, which is one of the reasons we were so keen to bring him to Aberdeen. We see real potential in him and we're looking forward to helping him continue his development here.
"Clearly, moving to Scotland represents a significant cultural change and we'll support Ayoub through that transition as he settles into the area, perfects the language and gets to grips with the demands of Scottish football. There will be an adjustment period, but we're confident he'll embrace that challenge.
"We're excited to have him with us and look forward to seeing the impact he can make for Aberdeen over the coming years."
Born in Rabat, Ayoub developed through the FUS system before establishing himself as one of the standout attacking players in the Moroccan top flight.
He finished the 2024/25 Botola Pro campaign as the league's joint top scorer with 11 goals and his impressive form with FUS earned him recognition at senior international level with Morocco, making two appearances in the African Nations Championship against Angola and Kenya.
Fittingly, Ayoub becomes only the second player to make the journey directly from Rabat to the north-east of Scotland, following in the footsteps of the late, great Hicham Zerouali almost 27 years on.
Speaking after completing his move, Ayoub, who scored 19 goals in 41 starts for FUS, said: "It is a great honour to have the opportunity to join a Club with the history and stature of Aberdeen.
"I will always be grateful to everyone at FUS Rabat, the Club where I began my career, but I felt this was the right opportunity to continue my development and challenge myself in a new environment.
"I can't wait to get to know my teammates and I will work as hard as I can every day to help bring success to the Club and our supporters. I am really looking forward to playing at Pittodrie for the first time."
Everyone at AFC warmly welcomes Ayoub to Pittodrie and wish him well in his time in Red.
