The draw for the Scottish League Cup Semi Finals took place today and The Dons were drawn to face Dundee United.

The other tie saw Celtic and Rangers drawn together.

Dundee United v Aberdeen Celtic v Rangers

Both matches are due to take place on the weekend of 31st January/1st February with full details to be confirmed in due course.

After the draw, Derek McInnes gave his reacton afc.co.uk:

‘Any game at the semi final stage of a tournament is going to be difficult and both teams will see it as a real opportunity to get to a final.

‘Hopefully we’ll be in good form in the build up to the game but now that the draw has been made, it completely goes on the backburner and all we are focussing on is Monday evening’s trip to Ross County.’
