“I don’t know how long Adam has been doing it for, but once again he has done it this afternoon.

“He just gets himself in the right area. I don’t think even he knows where it hit him! But it hit him and landed up in the back of the net. That is what he is there for and that is what he has done for us for many seasons and hopefully he will continue to do it. Adam has got that instinct to be in the right place in the box and he gets his reward. He takes the glory and gets us the three points!

“We are not interested in where it hits him as long as it lands up in the back of the net.

“The manager decided to pick the same team that won in the cup and I think a few boys could have felt a bit hard done by. Peter Pawlett has done very well last week, as did Ryan Christie. So the manager has some tough decisions to make but that is his job. I am sure he is enjoying having that headache, who to pick.

“Miles come on and playing very well, he stretches defences. He frightens teams with his pace. He did excellent today. Anthony and Pete then come on to help us see the game out. The whole squad is looking really good, everyone is pulling in the same direction.

“We are in a good position and we know where we want to be at the end of the season. Everyone is working towards that.

“We are in a good position but we will not take anything for granted. Results have gone in our favour this weekend but we need to look after ourselves and that is what we are doing. The boys have been excellent during this run that we are on and we just have to keep that going and do as well as we can.

“We just look after ourselves and concentrate on keeping the run going. There is still a while to go and a lot of points to be won.

“We have another big game on Tuesday.”
