“At the start of the season the support we took down there was quite incredible. The fans enjoyed that day and hopefully we can get the same outcome tomorrow. It would be a much needed win.

“Dundee United have turned a bit of a corner and they will believe they can get out of the struggle they are in. We know they will work hard and fight and scrap for everything so we have to match that. We have to show how much we want it. We have to show how hungry we are. We also just have to concentrate on ourselves. We are confident we can go down there and take the three points.

“We have seen a bit of United and the way they have played in the last couple of games. They have been battling hard. As I say we need to match their work rate and their commitment which I am sure we will.

“The pitches are not great at the moment which will make the game even more of a battle but we will stand up to that.

“Saturday was a disappointing result. Everyone knows that but we move on. We have a massive game tomorrow night and all our focus is on that, getting the three points and getting back to winning ways.

“We know the fans were very disappointed after Saturday night but so were all the players. You would have seen just how much if anyone had been in the dressing room. Luckily we have another game around the corner to put things right.

“With Adam being out everyone has to take responsibly for getting the goals now.

“I have enjoyed playing in a more defensive midfield role. You get a lot of the ball which is good for myself but wherever you are asked to play you go out and do a job for the team.”
