Nicky Weaver extends contract with Dons

The Club has confirmed that goalkeeper Nicky Weaver has extended his contract at Pittodrie until the end of the current season.

The 34 year old, who has played for Mansfield Town, Manchester City, Charlton Athletic, Dundee United and Burnley, was released by Sheffield Wednesday last summer before being snapped up by Derek McInnes on a short term deal as cover for Jamie Langfield.

The England Under 21 international has played twice for the Dons, coming on as a substitute against Celtic and starting against Hearts at Tynecastle.
