The Dons’ latest recruit, winger Jeffrey Monakana spoke to the media today after signing on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion until January:
“I'm happy to be here. I've seen how big a club it's been. They had a great year last year and hopefully there's more success this year.
“I'm very direct and skilful. Hopefully I can bring that directness to the team and I'm hoping the fans will like it as well. I'm raring to go!
“It's already a good team and like I said I'm just happy to be here and happy to contribute as much as I can. If we can have the same success they had last year or even better, then that would be great
“There were are a lot of options, including to stay, but I felt after speaking to a couple of people at the club that I just couldn't turn down the opportunity. Wherever I can play football is where I'll go and hearing that a club like Aberdeen were interested in me really excited me and I just couldn't turn down the opportunity.”
