Tony Yogane has joined the Dons from EPL side Brentford for an undisclosed fee, subject to registration formalities and international clearance.
The 20-year-old highly regarded winger has signed a long-term deal that will keep him at Pittodrie until 2030.
Tony began his development at Sheffield Wednesday’s academy before making a switch to Brentford in 2022 when he was 16.
From there he progressed through Brentford’s B team and was handed his first-team debut in September 2024 by Thomas Frank in a Carabao Cup win over Leyton Orient. He also appeared on the bench in several Premier League matches.
Having had a loan spell at Exeter City, Tony then joined Dundee last season where he featured regularly for the Dens Park side, making 42 appearances.
“Tony is a really exciting prospect”, said Dons boss Stephen Robinson.
“He is a player with huge potential, as he demonstrated during his time with Dundee last season where he was one of the best players in the league.
“There were several clubs interested in Tony so it’s a real coup for us to get him committed on a long-term deal.
“Tony has a real drive to improve, he’s hungry to succeed and we believe this is the right environment to continue his development while helping push the Club forward.”
With his power, pace and technical quality, the Londoner adds firepower and versatility to Aberdeen’s attack ahead of the new season.
Tony spoke to RedTV and revealed how the move to the North-east came about.
“After the season ended my agent told me Aberdeen were interested and things moved forward quickly. This is the next step up for me.
“Aberdeen is a big Club. I want to win things here. It is a big challenge after what happened last season, but we must go out and prove people wrong.
“I spoke the manager and he a very passionate guy. He is someone who drives you and gets the best out of you. After speaking to him I was convinced I wanted to come here.
“The deal gives me long term security, but you want to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. As a player you must keep improving and looking for more.”
“When we played against Aberdeen last season, I just had a good feeling about the Club. Especially when you see the size of the support. I can’t wait to see the fans. Hopefully it is an enjoyable season.”
