“It was a bit of a scrappy game. Particularly in the second half. I thought we played well in the first half and created a few chances and we were maybe a bit disappointed not to go in at the break one or two up. As I say the second half got a bit scrappy but I am just delighted we got the win in the end.
“It was a physical match because both teams were determined to win the game. It was quite stop start. There was little fouls that were stopping the match and I don’t really think either team could get their game going in the second half.
“We are just delighted we managed to get the goal in the end. We are happy we kept a clean sheet and managed to get the win in the end. It was an important three points for us.
“The clean sheet was very important for us. That is our second clean sheet in a row. When we went on our run at the start of the campaign we were able to keep clean sheets. When you do that, keep the ball out of the net, you always then have a chance of sneaking a goal at the other end and winning a tight game, like the one this afternoon.
“We are not too concerned at the moment about what is happening with the teams round about us. We are just focussing on every game as it comes and looking to get back to winning ways on a regular basis. We have a few wins now. That is important that we put a winning streak together. I hope we are now back to where we were at the start of the season after the dip in form.”
