Before leaving Aberdeen airport this afternoon Graeme Shinnie spoke to RedTV:
“They were not a bad side at all. “I think the two goals late on helped us massively, and I think they were well deserved. We maybe could have had a couple more on top of that. It gives us a good cushion going out there but we will need to ensure that we are on top of our game as they are a good side and there is still a job to be done. “I think it will be a different game to what we experienced at Pittodrie. We just need to focus on ourselves, we know they will maybe come out with a different game plan this time, but we will have our own game plan in place and know what is required on the night. “Last year was my first involvement in Europe and we scored in every away game. I think the amount of chances we created on Thursday night gives us the belief we can get an away goal and obviously it will be crucial if we can get that in the game. “We may not need one, not necessarily. I think the score-line at the moment shows that, but it would be nice and would give us an even bigger cushion. An away goal in a European tie is always good to get regardless of the circumstances. “In European games when you are drawn against teams such as Fola you don’t really know what to expect until you actually play them and get a good idea of what they are like. I think everybody saw that they were a good side, well organised and dangerous on the counter. We know there is still a job to be done and we will look to get it done on Thursday. “All the new boys have settled in well and have added to an already strong squad which we had. Everybody has bedded in well, we’ve worked hard in pre-season and these are the games which everyone looks forward to. “We need to focus on Thursday, concentrate on the next game rather than looking beyond that at the moment. As a player personally it would be an ambition of mine to make it to the group stages, but we will keep our feet on the ground and look forward to Thursday.”
