Striker Declan McManus has joined League One side Morton on loan until January in order to benefit from regular first team action.
The 20-year-old, who enjoyed a similar spell at Alloa Athletic last season, goes straight into tomorrow’s league opener against Ayr United and boss Derek McInnes believes the youngster will return to Pittodrie a better player.
“We’ve seen previously how a loan spell can bring a player on in leaps and bounds and, with Morton being a full time club, I’m sure this will be an important part of Declan’s development.”
