“The stadium is as we expected. The pitch is better than it was a couple of weeks ago. It is still quite dry but when they get some water on it before the game it will be a decent surface, I have certainly played on a lot worse. We were aware of what type of stadium of was, with the running track round the pitch. Sometimes with that you lose the feeling of a football stadium but as I say I have been to a lot worse.
“It is warm. It is a few degrees higher than we would have anticipated but the only thing that concerns me is that our approach is spot on and we are professional enough. Whatever the stadium is like, whatever the pitch is like, whatever the weather is like, we just have to adapt.
“We do not have to be brilliant tomorrow night but I do still expect a level of performance. I expect us also to be professional and disciplined and if we can be all of those I think we will get the result we want.
“They are likely to come out strongly at the start of the game and we have to be ready for that. If we don’t and we lose a goal, lose our discipline then all of a sudden things can become a bit more problematic. We have to impose ourselves on the game as we did at Pittodrie.”
The Manager was asked about the link between the club and the highly rated Wolves youngster Zeli Ismail. It has been reported the winger is about to join the Dons on loan.
“We have been linked with a player today. We will probably be linked with a few others as well. We have a few options and the boy in question is one of those. Like I always say we like to comment once we get things done.
“We are still looking to bring in one player before the league starts domestically. If we do progress tomorrow night then any player would have to be signed by Friday if we wanted them to be available to us in the next round.”
The Manager also confirmed that Peter Pawlett has not travelled as he is still receiving treatment after limping off midway through the first leg. David Goodwillie also did not travel as he was not signed and registered in time for this round.
