Josh Magennis played an U20 game on Tuesday but had to come off after about 12 minutes but more as of a precaution as he is fine and will train today. Willo Flood will be out with his hamstring injured sustained against Hearts and Barry Robson is suspended.

“It’s been a bit frustrating having the break after the defeat to Hearts. I’ve watched back the game and there were far more positive to take from the game. There was a lot to be pleased about. There were areas that we felt played a part in us losing the game too but particularly in that first half period I thought we were terrific.

“Parkhead is a difficult place to go but we can win the game. We’ve got to make sure we’ve got that mindset going in to the game. Celtic have shown a level of consistency recently, they’re always very difficult to beat but it’s the type of game myself and the players are all really looking forward to. The support will be there in good numbers believing in the team, the staff believe in the team, we believe we can go there and get a result and that’s not being naive but when we are playing at the best of our ability we can cause teams problems.

“We’ve been without Barry and Willo for chunks of the season already so it showed when other players were called upon we still managed to get results. Of course both would bring experience to our team but they will not be available so we need to make sure we pick a team capable of doing the job.”
