“Everyone in the dressing room is looking forward to the game. Everything is very positive at the moment. We have kept three clean sheets in a row and scored some goals and created a lot of chances so we are going into the game with confidence which is important.
“Whilst the 3-2 wins were exciting to watch they were not good from a defenders point of view. As a defender you do not want to concede goals so it is good that we have got the balance right. If we keep clean sheets then we can build from that.
“We have worked on our defensive shape in training but the most important thing is that everyone does their job right and everyone communicates with each other – that is a big part of it.
“I have built up a partnership with Mark. It is all about trust with your defensive partner. If you trust each other you can build a good partnership. It does take a while but the more games you play the more you get to know each other’s game and know each other strengths.
“I go and win the balls in the air and I let him do the running!
“It will be a very tough game but we know that if we play well we can beat anyone on our day. We have a lot of quality in our side. They have hit a bit of form but so have we. We have only lost one in nine. It will be a good game with a great atmosphere.
“I am enjoying living up here. Aberdeen is a great city. Scottish football is a good standard. They play a lot more football in Scotland than I expected and had been told. The technical side is as good up here as it is down south. The only difference is the game in England is slightly more physical because player physically bigger.”
