AFCCT Support Aberdeen University's International Football Tournament

Earlier this month, AFC Community Trust supported the International Centre at the University of Aberdeen in holding a football tournament for students from both their own institution, as well as Robert Gordon’s. Ran in partnership with the Aberdeen University Students Association, over 50 students attended on the day, made up of a wide variety of nationalities including those from Nigeria, Spain, Germany, Zimbabwe and Cyprus, to name a few.

Earlier this month, AFC Community Trust supported the International Centre at the University of Aberdeen in holding a football tournament for students from both their own institution, as well as Robert Gordon’s.

Ran in partnership with the Aberdeen University Students Association, over 50 students attended on the day, made up of a wide variety of nationalities including those from Nigeria, Spain, Germany, Zimbabwe and Cyprus, to name a few.

This tournament was run with the intention of increasing engagement with international students, whilst bringing together people from different backgrounds. At the same time, a key objective was to increase awareness and accessibility within diverse community groups of the various opportunities available in football through AFCCT and the Scottish FA.
