AFCCT 7s coaches welcomed Scottish FA Community Coach Scott Duncan to Aultons Pitches at Seaton on Saturday the 1st of November for the first ever AFCCT 7s Tesco Bank 7v7 Teachers In-Service.
The in-service was a real success with 30 coaches from various AFCCT 7s primary school teams attending to watch Scott Duncan in action, delivering a variety of content relating to the 7v7 game and the players that will play this format.
Scott Duncan said “The in-service is a great opportunity for volunteer coaches to see what the Scottish FA regard as current best practice. The in-service was also really specific the primary school league and the age and stage of the players that these coaches are involved with so it was extremely pleasing to see the coaches come out in their numbers and get involved. The enthusiasm from all the coaches not only made the in-service a success from a learning perspective but also great fun to deliver.”
The in-service was tailored to relate specifically to AFCCT 7s which led to coaches gaining a further insight of the Scottish FA’s National Player Pathway in conjunction with the PCS culture. This is one of many in-services that will be provided to AFCCT 7s. Dates in 2015 are being prepared for coaches involved in AFCCT 7s to start their journey on the Scottish FA’s Coach Education pathway.
