Aberdeen FC is proud to be a thriving, community driven football club who aim to have a positive impact far beyond the 90 minutes on the pitch . We recognise our unique standing in the local community and appreciate the importance of giving something back as we actively engage with the local communities that support and sustain the club. Here is a small taster of the recent activity that various representatives of the football club have undertaken this past fortnight in our efforts to interact with our local community.

. We recognise our unique standing in the local community and appreciate the importance of giving something back as we actively engage with the local communities that support and sustain the club.

Here is a small taster of the recent activity that various representatives of the football club have undertaken this past fortnight in our efforts to interact with our local community.

First team player, Gavin Rae, attended a training session with Westhill Primary School Football team where the children had the opportunity to ask him some questions as well as get autographs and photos with Gavin.

Joe Shaughnessy and Nicky Low attended the launch of the Kiltwalk event at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. The walk, which will be leaving from Pittodrie on the 15th September, is raising funds for several charities including Aberlour, CHAS, The Archie Foundation, CLIC Sargent and TACC.

Scott Vernon visited Mile End Primary School to meet the youngsters and sign some autographs as they raised money for a local charity.

Craig Brown visited a Junior Youth Academy session at the Sports Village, kick starting a series of visits from First Team players.

As one of Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce’s Premier Partners, AFC held a Premier Partners event in the Boardroom which was hosted by the AFC Commercial Sales team and George Yule, Executive Vice Chairman of AFC. This event included a behind the scenes stadium tour and buffet and was attended by Craig Brown and Archie Knox.

The AFC Community department held a Coach Education course with Aberdeen College students on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week. 21 students participated on the level 1.2 Coaching Young Footballers Course at Aberdeen Sports Village.
