Aberdeen FC is proud to be a thriving, community driven football club who aim to have a positive impact far beyond the 90 minutes on the pitch . We recognise our unique standing in the local community and appreciate the importance of giving something back as we actively engage with the local communities that support and sustain the club. Here is a small taster of the recent activity that various representatives of the football club have undertaken this past fortnight in our efforts to interact with our local community.

Here is a small taster of the recent activity that various representatives of the football club have undertaken this past fortnight in our efforts to interact with our local community.

Jamie Langfield paid a visit to the Junior Youth Academy to spend some time with the young goalies. Jamie will visiting the young goalies weekly to share his knowledge and experience.

Ryan Jack and Clark Robertson attended Quarryhill Primary School to promote the Simmons Family Fun Day which will saw over 1,000 complimentary tickets given out to local schools and charities for last weekend’s game.

Rory Fallon paid a visit to Kirkhill Primary School in Kincorth to help the children celebrate World Book Day and spent the afternoon entertaining the kids with stories of his favourite books as a child.

Rory Fallon & Gavin Rae have been working with the Under 15 & Under 17 Youth Academy squads over the past 5 months as they both work toward coaching licenses. Rory is working toward his UEFA ‘B’ License, while Gavin looks to complete his ‘A’ License.

Isaac Osbourne and Andrew Considine took part in a Q&A at a Show Racism the Red Card event here at Pittodrie. The event, attended by Primary 7 children, aims to raise awareness of racism and sectarianism in society.

Josh Magennis and Niall McGinn went along to a training session with Dyce Primary School Footy teams to meet the boys, answer some questions and sign some autographs.

Ryan Jack visited Riverbank Nursery and Primary School to help with their Red Nose Day fundraising efforts.

Pupils from the 1E class from the Learning Opportunities Department at Aberdeen College visited Pittodrie for a tour of the stadium.

Executive Vice Chairman, George Yule, met with the World President of JCI, Chiari Milani, and presented her with an AFC top on behalf of AFC at the Grampian Industrialist of the Year Dinner. Craig Brown is pictured below with Chiari Milani.

George also presented the NESS Charrty Organisation with a corporate hospitality package in aid of their fundraising dinner.

Thanks to the tremendous generosity of our guests during Ladies Day at the Aberdeen v Motherwell game on the 9th March, £4,300 was raised on behalf of VSA. A signed AFC shirt exclusively designed with the VSA logo was auctioned during the match with funds also being raised from a raffle and a heads and tails game. VSA visited Pittodrie to be presented with their cheque.
