to pledge their support to Aberdeen Cyrenians Sleepout 2014
Two members of he AFC in the Community team will be braving the elements this evening to show their support to the Aberdeen Cyrenians Sleepout 2014.
The Aberdeen Cyrenians Sleepout 2014 is a fundraising event in which all proceeds go to the Cyrenians charity. The purpose of the event will be to not only raise money for the charity, but to also raise awareness and show signs of solidarity with the homeless people of Aberdeen.
Over the past 45 years the Aberdeen Cyrenians have worked hard to meet the varying needs of people affected by homelessness in Aberdeen and the surrounding area. With over 200 food parcels given out each month and around 800 people using the four-times-a-week drop in session among various other projects and facilities, the Cyrenians are tackling homelessness head on.
AFC In The Community are helping to tackle this issue by participating in the 2014 sleepout event tonight with Steven Sweeney and David Smith spending the night sleeping rough to experience first-hand the challenges that homeless people face on a daily basis.
Show your support to our guys from the AFC In The Community by placing a small donatation via their Just Giving page and help us reach, and hopefully beat, their target of £500.
