Israeli international full-back Or Dadia is our seventh recruit of the transfer window.

The 26-year-old joins from Ligat ONE ZERO side Hapoel Beer Sheva, initially on loan for the season, with Aberdeen having an exclusive option to purchase next summer.

Or will officially become a Dons player subject to successful completion of the UK immigration process, following the award of a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) on Thursday.

“Or is an excellent footballer. He is versatile player who can play in a number of positions, so will further strengthen our defensive options”, said Dons manager Barry Robson.

“He is athletic, hungry and has a good mentality, all key attributes we want in our players here at Aberdeen.

“His arrival is once again testament to the excellent recruitment strategy we have in place at the club and I’m sure Or will be determined to make a positive impact during his spell with us.”

Right-sider Dadia made his first team debut for Hapoel back in May 2017 before a two-season loan spell with Liga Leumit side Hapoel Bnei Lod, where he played over 55 times.

That experience allowed him to break into the Beer Sheva first-team, and he’s been a mainstay ever since, playing in almost 150 games, including seventeen in European competition.

He also broke into the national team, making his senior debut against Malta back in September of last year.

Commenting on his arrival in the north-east Dadia said: “I am delighted to sign for a club like Aberdeen FC.

“It has a great history and a bright future ahead.

“I will do everything for this to be a success and I can’t wait to meet the supporters at Pittodrie soon.”
