Talented young winger commits future to the Dons

Aberdeen FC this evening confirms Connor McLennan has agreed a contract extension that will see him remain at Pittodrie until 2023.

The 21-year-old winger, a graduate of the AFC Youth Academy, has been a regular in the Scotland international set-up at various age levels, and has made 14 appearances for the first team this season.

In securing Connor on a new deal, the Club is underlining its desire to be the best developer of young talent in Scotland.

Manager Derek McInnes believes now is the time for Connor to continue his progression to establishing himself as a first team regular.

“I’m delighted Connor has committed himself to the Club for the next two years and it is vital he now capitalises on this opportunity and continues to work hard on his development.

“He is a player we have a lot of belief in, and it will be an important two years for Connor to really fulfil his potential.”

RedTV will bring you an interview with Connor tomorrow following our pre-match press conference ahead of our trip to Livingston this weekend.
