The countdown to the start of our Europa League campaign has begun with confirmation that Faroese side, NSI Runavik, will visit Pittodrie on Thursday 27th August. Although the Red Army cannot yet join us for another memorable European night under the lights, the Club is pleased to announce a special broadcasting deal for this match.

As part of our continued commitment to provide full value, the match will be provided free of charge to all Season Ticket holders via our Virtual Season Ticket platform. The match will also be broadcast on Premier Sports who will offer live UK coverage of the first round qualifier.

“A European night would normally mean a bumper crowd at Pittodrie but with fans not yet allowed back into stadiums, this can’t happen,” said AFC Commercial Director, Rob Wicks.

“We are therefore delighted to be able to offer our season ticket holders the opportunity to watch the team as we embark on our Europa League campaign. Whilst we continue to work hard behind the scenes to get our supporters back to Pittodrie as quickly and as safely as possible, we are determined to bring our fans close to the action and deliver our promise of offering full value for all season ticket holders.

As ties are being played over a single leg this season, this has meant a change to the domestic and international media rights for all UEFA competitions. The Club is currently investigating broadcast options for RedTV and will be working to try and ensure access to the match for our international subscribers.
