Aberdeen FC can confirm that Andrew Considine has this afternoon signed a contract extension.

The two-year deal will see Andrew remain at the club until at least the summer of 2021 and there is also the potential of a third year.

The 32 year old has spent his entire career at Pittodrie, after coming right through the AFC Youth Academy.

Andrew was rewarded for his service to the club with a testimonial year in 2015. To date he has made 476 appearances, which puts him sixth in the club’s all-time appearance chart, in between Jim Leighton and Russell Anderson.

The Aberdonian made his debut against Dundee as a 17-year-old in May 2004 and has gone on to score 33 goals, including a memorable hat-trick in the 7-0 win at Dens Park two years ago.

In his time at Aberdeen, Andrew has won the club’s Player of the year and Players’ Player of the year awards on two separate occasions.

This season the defender has once again been one of the most consistent performers, playing 41 times and scoring four goals.
