McKenna extends stay at Ayr

20 January 2017

Scott McKenna has extended his stay at Ayr United until the end of the season.

The central defender original joined Ian McCall’s side in November and then had the emergency loan extended in December. He has now joined on a standard loan until May.

Scott, who is held in high regard at Pittodrie, also had an initial loan spell with the Championship side in 2015. This time around at Somerset Park the 20-year-old has made 11 appearances and the former Scotland U19 captain has scored once.

Ironically, Scott made his only Aberdeen appearance of the season against Ayr United as a second half substitute back in August at Somerset Park in the Betfred Cup.

Everyone wishes Scott well for the remainder of the campaign.
