Ylber spoke to the media and RedTV after the game against Celtic on Saturday. The midfielder made more appearances than any other AFC player during the 2022/23 season.

“Everyone is very frustrated.

“We did ok in the first 20 minutes. What happened in the last 20 minutes was no acceptable for Aberdeen Football Club. The goals we conceded were far too easy. Next season coming here, we have to be keep going for 95 minutes and not give away these goals. The last 20 minutes so was so bad.

“I would not say that Wednesday had an impact. The boys are professional. We wanted to come here and play. We wanted to come here and press, we wanted to come here and defended properly. As I said, for a team like us, we can not concede goals like that.

“Since about February, since Barry came in, we had one of the best defences in the league. We fell well below those standards today. We want to win every game, get good results, so everyone in the dressing room is very disappointed.

“We wanted to get third spot. When I came here at the start of the season, that is what we wanted. We had some bad moments around January.

“Barry then came in, he brought his mentality to the team.

“We had the right mentality, but we should also have shown that mentality today.

“Hopefully the result will go our way next weekend, and we will have a lot of games in Europe to look forward to.

“I would say sorry to the fans today. Like the fans, we are very disappointed. Next season we know what we have to do to come down here and compete.
