“Probably a very good game of football for the neutral!

“For us it was a bit hard work. I think we made harder work of the game than we maybe should have.

“We obviously got off to a great start and then all of a sudden found ourselves 2-1 down. It was strange but we got level again and got in at half time and sorted out a few things that needed sorting out and came out in the second half refocussed. We went 3-2 up with a great goal from Scott but were pegged back again straight away. After a good spell we eventually broke them down and made 4-3 and did well to hang on after that.

“I have not seen any of the penalty incidents back yet. I have been told it was a penalty. I thought the first one was a penalty as well to be fair. But I will need to watch them back.

“I did not believe Adam at first when he told me he got a touch! But I have seen it back and I will give him that one. Just happy one of us put it in.

“It is the toughest game so far in the league I would say. There are negatives to the game with the goals we lost from set pieces. That is annoying because it is something we work hard on (to prevent). There is plenty to work on but the most important thing was the three points.

“It is a great feeling to be top of the league but it is very early on. To still have a 100% record is very pleasing going into the first international break. That is what our aim was. We looked at the fixtures and felt we could take three points from every one. Delighted with that. As I say it is still very early but it is good to get the momentum rolling early.

“I though going forward we were picking up the ball in some great positions. All four attacking players were finding space and Kenny was playing some great balls. It was strange because it was a really enjoyable game even although we did not find a winner until late on.

“We have forward players who can change games. We scored four goals but could easily have had a few more.
“Scott Wright seems to love it down here! Even aside from the goal, I think his movement was superb. He is a joy to play with because when I pick up the ball in attacking areas, he makes great runs. For such a young kid he is so intelligent off the ball. And when he is on the ball he is probably the most positive player I have ever seen. He just wants to run at people with the ball. It takes the whole team up the park. It lifts the team and also the supporters.

“We now have a little break. It is still early but it is a much needed break after a busy summer. Everyone can go away and relax for a bit and we will be back in raring to go again later next week. I am looking forward to the Hearts game at Murrayfield. A few of the boys have spoken about it already. I have heard we will be taking down a brilliant crowd. It will be a great occasion and experience for everyone.”
