“That was not an Aberdeen performance.

“We did not put in a performance that allow us to get anything from the game.

“We did ok in the opening 20 minutes but then struggled to get anything going.

“The three goals that we gave away, that was not like us at all. All three of the goals were sloppy and cheap and that was the most disappointing aspect. All three of the goal could have been stopped quite easily.

“We wanted to be going into next week with confidence but we can take no confidence from that performance. We did not work hard enough for the majority of the game. Motherwell worked harder and deserved the three points to be fair to them.

“It is a reality check. We need to be at our best if we are to win games against most clubs.

“They were difficult to play against. But we knew they would be and we did not adapt to the game quick enough. We had a couple of chances in the first half but in the second half we stopped believing we could get anything. We should have kept going.

“With the cup final next week, we need to analysis the Motherwell game quickly and then push it away by Monday. Then make sure we are in the right mind set for the final. Everyone has a job to you next weekend. They need to focus on their job.”
