Kelle Roos | Celtic Preview

Refresh

Goalkeeper Kelle Roos was the player who previewed the cinch Premiership game against Celtic on Saturday.

“It is nice to be back. We had a good break and enjoyed the world cup football but now it is back to business for us. It is a bit colder than when we went away but it is all good!

“I have never had a break before. I certainly feel some benefits from it.

“The break was an opportunity to reflect as an individual and as a team for the staff. Things have been looked at and how we can improve, which is something we always do, but when you have weeks when three points are not on the line then you have more time. You have more time to break down some habits that you have, that you don’t really want. We feel we are ready. We feel that we are prepared. Hopefully the work we have done will pay off during the next couple of weeks.

“Celtic and Rangers, two massive games to come back to. It is a challenge, and it is a big chance to see where we are at. We all know that we did not get the results that we wanted when we played them first time round. We have spoken about the fact we had a new team at the start of the season but now hopefully we can show that we have grown and we are pushing forward. I feel we are different team and we have improved.

“We know that we will have to perform. We will have to be at our very best. We will have to stay calm. We will have to weather storms, we know that we will need to stick together and work together if we want to get a result.

“I don’t think there is a good time to play these teams if I am completely honest, I don’t like to believe in that. I don’t know how their players who played at the world cup are feeling, all we can do is control ourselves. We have been working hard and I feel that we are ready to hit the ground running and we will see how it goes.

“The home form is something as a squad that we need to be very proud of. And also something we can take a lot of confidence from. It has been a very strong run. I feel with the fans behind us we can always cause a threat, even against the best teams.

“I want to be careful about saying too much about the league table. I think we just need to go week by week as we have been doing. So far it has got us in a place that we want to be but at the same time we have to keep showing that we belong there. The next couple of weeks are going to be very important.

“The games are going to come thick and fast. We have a very fit young squad with a lot of depth so hopefully that will help us perform the way we want to every game.”
