JET "We will strive to keep improving"
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas more than played in part today, the striker impressive and combining well with Marley, Christian and Ryan. He spoke to Jamie Lyall after the game for RedTV.
“It was a really strong performance from the boys.
“We started off on fire and we managed to maintain that for most of the game. Conceding the goal was a let-down but reacted well and got a third goal straight away.
“Overall, it was a great day.
“The boys are starting to find some real fluidity in our attacking play.
“We always knew we were capable of this type of win. We have created a lot of chances in a lot of the games without taking them.
“The conditions did play a part this afternoon. You did not know in the wind would take the ball long or short. We managed to find our flow quicker than they did. It paid off for us that we managed to adjust to the conditions so quickly.
“I have enjoyed my time in Aberdeen since the moment I arrived. Everyone made me feel very welcome. Although we have not had the greatest time over recent weeks, I have no doubt things will pick up.
“For myself it is all a matter of timing, the manager has things he wants to try and there are things we need to work on. The last couple of games I have got my opportunity and I have tried my best to take it.
“We played a lot of really good free flowing football. At the back Joe has made some great saves which we need in certain situations.
“I think we will start pushing on now. Because of the quality of the performances we have put in during the past two games, I believe we will keep going.
“We will strive to keep improving and to keep moving up the table.”
