Graeme Shinnie | Hibs Programme Notes
The Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinnie spoke to the RedMatchday Editor for his programme column. You can watch the conversation on RedTV.
“The Hearts game last Friday night was a good professional performance.
“It was a very controlled, composed victory I thought, we were always the team in charge of the game and if it wasn’t one when there were too many frills, at this stage of the season that does not matter. We got the two goals and the second half felt pretty comfortable. It was all about getting a job done, no alarms, no worries, and then moving onto the next game, the visit of Hibs on Saturday.
“The response from everyone at the club, from the manager, the staff and the players, since the semi-final defeat has been very professional and putting six points out of six on the board has been the best possible way of responding to it and sets us up perfectly for Saturday. It has not made up for it, but having the challenge of chasing second place and big games to play each week has given us something else to focus on.
“As we always seem to do, we have bounced back in a positive manner.
“The supporters have been really good with us too. They’ve come and backed us really well over those two games, just as they have all season. I thought Friday night was one of the best atmospheres this season in terms of the crowd getting behind us and the noise was great. It had a good feeling about it.
“The whole club has come together and continued to try pushing forward and as a result, we’ve got some good momentum going into these last three games.”
