After making his Aberdeen debut, Gary Woods spoke to RedTV.

“Joe has been in brilliant form this season; I think he has made 19 clean sheets so I can’t have any complaints about not playing. I just have to be ready if I am called upon. You don’t wish an injury on your teammates but sometimes it is through these circumstances that you get a chance.

“Hopefully, it is nothing too serious for Joe and he makes a quick recovery.

“You prepare every day in training to play a match at the end of the week. I was mentally ready going into the game in case my opportunity came. Thankfully it came and we got over the line.”
