“For my goal it was a great through ball and I didn’t have to do a lot.

“I just made the run and Kenny’s found me with a lovely through ball and with great weight and I just had to find the far corner. When Kenny’s on the ball and with his head up you know he’s going to find the wee pockets and he’s great to play with.

“It was a great team performance all round.

“There were a lot of good individual performances. Hearts have been a team we’ve drawn with a few times and also lost to them last time so we wanted to right that wrong and show if we’re at the races we can certainly beat them.

“I felt first half especially we done really well and in the second half we killed the game. It was a little bit flatter, but we done what we needed to do and it’s a great three points again for us.

“As a player personally I love Friday night football. It’s nice playing under the floodlights and if you get a positive result like we did you can just get your feet up, see how the rest of the teams do and see how the league table looks on Monday.

“It’s a good day at the office for us and we just need to rest, recover and it’s another massive game next weekend here. We need to make sure we’re ready to keep the momentum and confidence up.

“It’s tremendous (ground staff work on the pitch) they’ve done great. That’s really positive for us now and it was nice to play on. It was a great surface to pass the ball a bit better and our next couple games are at home. They’re big games so we can hopefully keep the level of performance up.

“It’s exciting there’s a lot of big games and every game is massive now. We’ve got Hibs next week and the games are coming thick and fast, but we’re ready for them. We’ve got a good squad and anyone who steps in can do a job for us so it’s exciting times, but we’re looking forward to next week and hopefully we can keep it going.

“Sam was excellent and gives us a different option. He’s big, physical and wins a lot of balls, but he’s also great with his feet and quick. He’s a great player to have in our squad and I was really happy for him tonight. He done really well. He’s going to cause a lot of teams problems going forward.”
